The updates provide clients with significant new tax, legal and regulatory changes required for the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland and European Union. In the U.S. and Canada, there were numerous tax, legal and regulatory updates required by various state, local and provincial agencies.
For the U.S., Rimini Street delivered tax, legal, and regulatory updates at the state and local levels. At the state level, updates include percentage method withholding tables for Idaho and Ohio. Idaho also increased its annual withholding allowance, while Michigan increased its minimum wage. Numerous local tax updates were also provided for municipalities in Kentucky, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. For Pennsylvania Act 32 reporting which requires uniform withholding of earned income taxes (EIT), additional counties were migrated from paper filing to electronic filing. In preparation for year-end 2014 reporting, modifications were also delivered to support new state Employer Identification Number (EIN) formats.
For clients in Canada, Rimini Street delivered tax changes to restore the Novia Scotia Harmonized Sales Tax Rate to 15 percent after a reduction to 14 percent was postponed by the government.

For example, in the UK and Ireland, Rimini Street delivered informational updates regarding changes to accounting standards for E-Business Suite and SAP clients. For SAP clients in the UK, updates included changes to the Earlier Year Updates (EYU) used for Real Time Information (RTI) reporting. In the EU, Rimini Street delivered an informational update regarding the change to the place of supply rules affecting e-Services, as well as the related EU Value Added Tax (VAT) Return Mini One Stop Shop (MOSS) scheme. These significant changes take effect on January 1, 2015.
