Additionally, Rimini Street named industry veteran Greg R. Prow as group vice president, global tax and regulatory strategy & research. In this role, Prow will lead the Rimini Street team charged with ensuring all Rimini Street clients receive the mission-critical tax and regulatory updates needed to remain in legal and financial compliance. Previously, Prow was chairman and CEO of Planitax, developer of the leading on-demand software suite for tax lifecycle management. Planitax was recently acquired by Thomson Reuters. Before Planitax, Prow was managing director and chief operating officer of Mobius Venture Capital and he has served in a variety of senior roles helping clients with global tax and regulatory compliance, including tax partner-in charge at PricewaterhouseCoopers and tax-related management roles at Coopers and Lybrand

Today's announcements follow Rimini Street's delivery of Tax Update 2009-D yesterday, ahead of the software vendor's own planned release date for the equivalent tax and regulatory updates. The 2009-D update includes local, state, and federal tax changes, and encompasses new quarterly reporting requirements, unemployment wage base increases, and retroactive tax changes.
