This multi-billion dollar U.S. retailer has been a PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) customer since the early 2000’s, steadily upgrading its system until reaching PeopleSoft 9. A change in company ownership triggered a massive and costly project to add SAP financials, merchandising and logistics to the systems lineup. Paying excessive maintenance fees to Oracle for limited PeopleSoft support no longer made sense. The retailer needed to identify a lower-cost, alternative support solution while it worked out its ERP and HCM roadmaps.
