Mr. Rooney serves as VP, Industry Team & Retail Solutions. In this role he is responsible for global strategy and business development to build and grow revenues across the retail industry. Mr. Rooney is Rimini Street’s thought leader for all things related to retail both internally and externally and also establishes and maintains strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, partners, and customers to understand their needs, support their innovation strategy, and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
Mr. Rooney is an accomplished information technology executive with more than 35 years of success in retail businesses. He is a respected retail thought leader known for leading teams to deliver revolutionary digital solutions.
Prior to joining Rimini Street, Mr. Rooney was Chief Information Officer for GAF Roofing, where he was responsible for all IT and Digital.
Previously, Mr. Rooney was Chief Digital Officer for Hudson’s Bay Company, working with a multi-country team to drive a $2 billion-dollar digital ecosystem serving Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Gilt and Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC), transforming the organization into a digital-centric and data driven business. Mr. Rooney also managed all things digital for Saks 5th Avenue, Off 5th, Lord & Taylor, Gilt and Hudson’s Bay Company.
Before HBC, Mr. Rooney served as Chief Information Officer at Toys “R” Us, where he was instrumental in building a global Omni-channel offering.
