Jason Hardiman leads Rimini Street's intellectual property practice and brings broad experience in counseling, protection, compliance and litigation of IP matters.
Prior to joining Rimini Street, Mr. Hardiman was patent counsel for Intuit with responsibility for its QuickBooks, Payments and Payroll groups and was also counsel to many other top Silicon Valley companies on intellectual property matters. Previously, Mr. Hardiman was general counsel for a multimedia software startup where he managed all legal affairs including the prominent digital copyright case Kelly v. AribaSoft, which established the framework for fair use of images by Internet search engines. Professionally, Mr. Hardiman is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the Intellectual Property Section of the State Bar of California and the California Minority Counsel Program. He has presented on intellectual property topics at the University of Pittsburgh, Santa Clara University and the IP Strategy Summit: Silicon Valley and is a co-author of "The Pennsylvania Constitution: A Treatise on Individual Rights and Liberties." Mr. Hardiman holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of the New York and California state bars and is a registered patent attorney.
