Gregory Symon, SVP, Worldwide Field Operations
Mr. Symon is a 34-year veteran of enterprise technology and software sales with proven success in sales team leadership, business development and sales strategy, including senior sales leadership roles at Intel, Red Hat and Sitecore.
Mr. Symon is responsible for overseeing new client sales, sales engineering, sales enablement and sales operations teams globally.
Prior to joining Rimini Street, Mr. Symon served in several sales leadership roles where he drove significant growth through innovative, customer-focused sales strategies for well-known organizations. In his most recent role as general manager for Qubit’s North American operations, Mr. Symon had a breadth of responsibility that included leadership of the Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, Partner & Field Marketing teams.
Prior to Qubit, Mr. Symon served as senior vice president of Client and Partner Engagement in the Americas for Sitecore, a Gartner Magic Quadrant leader in the Web Content Management arena. His responsibilities included Sitecore’s North American sales, ecosystem development, and organizational development, ultimately driving a four-fold increase in North American sales within four years.
Previously, Mr. Symon served as vice president of North America Commercial Sales at Red Hat, where he ran Red Hat’s largest geographic sales organization of over 350 professionals, driving software subscriptions, services, technical support, sales operations and field marketing, delivering 40% of the company’s overall $1.25 billion business. He also helped drive record revenue growth that propelled Red Hat to become the first open-source software company to earn more than $1 billion in revenue.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Symon served more than two decades at Intel Corporation in various leadership roles, as well as founding and leading Intel’s Global Software Relations organization within the company’s Software Solutions Group, where he was responsible for more than $1 billion in revenue.
Mr. Symon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Marketing/Management degree from Western Connecticut State University.
