Rimini Street Statement on SAP AG's Announced Expansion of their Safe Passage
Program to Include New Maintenance Offering for Siebel Software Licensees
LAS VEGAS - May 15, 2006 - Seth Ravin, president and CEO of third-party enterprise software support provider Rimini Street, Inc., today issued the following statement on SAP AG's (NYSE: SAP) recent announcement of the expansion of their "Safe Passage" program to include a new alternative maintenance offering for Siebel (NASDAQ: ORCL) software licensees through its TomorrowNow, Inc. subsidiary:
"Rimini Street welcomes SAP's entry into the third-party software support market for Siebel products, as it provides even more choice in support programs for Siebel licensees. SAP's decision to follow Rimini Street into this market further validates the sizable Siebel support market opportunity, and highlights the growing demand for third-party support services for mature enterprise software products."
"While SAP/TomorrowNow can only service a limited number of Siebel customers who meet qualifying restrictions, Rimini Street's next-generation support program is available to all Siebel licensees today and includes innovative, market-leading features such as support for client-made customizations, performance and interoperability at a significant savings of more than 50 percent. Rimini Street continues to aggressively recruit and hire for its expanding list of support centers in North America, and is already successfully delivering its proven Siebel support solution to a growing client base of Fortune 500 and SMB clients.
