Habitat for Humanity is widely known for its home build and restoration projects for families in need, allowing them to live in a place that is safe and full of hope – a place they can call home. But besides providing affordable housing for community members, they also offer a wide variety of services ranging from disaster response, revitalization of public spaces, and even financial education to achieve long term familial and personal sustainability.
Rimini Street partnered with Habitat for Humanity East Bay in 2018 and again in 2019 to build playhouses from scratch for the children of First Responders. We donned aprons and worked with drills, hammers, nails, paint brushes, and colorful paint to create in total, 10 masterpieces that were designed and painted to match the child’s personal theme request. Our team had ourselves quite the time putting our inner artist to work and beamed with delight as we watched the children excitedly run inside their new playhouse!
