Every day at Open Heart Kitchen, dozens of volunteers gather to prepare and serve hot, nutritious meals in the Tri-Valley region in Northern California. Since opening their doors in 1995, they have served over 330,000 meals every year to the residents of Pleasanton, Dublin, and Livermore. Children, teens, adults, and seniors from all walks of life have benefitted from the kindness of Open Heart Kitchen and their friendship.
For Rimini Street Pleasanton Team Volunteer Month activity in 2018 and 2019, we had the pleasure of helping Open Heart Kitchen greet and serve their senior guests over the course of 3 weeks across 3 senior centers. Together, we donned aprons, hairnets, gloves, and a smile and took the opportunity to share our time and love with seniors on assisted meal programs. The warm reception from the seniors to our Rimini Family is something that will forever remain in our hearts and we are thankful for the chance to partner with Open Heart Kitchen once again.
