Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Fort Worth

Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Fort Worth

Alzheimer is a form of Dementia that affects everyone, not just the individual diagnosed with the disease. From memory loss, disorientation, and the limiting of one’s ability to live a full life, Alzheimer’s disease creates a myriad of challenges for both the diagnosed and their loved ones alike.

According to Alzheimer’s Association, Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States and the rate of death from Alzheimer’s increased 123% over the past 15 years. Globally, studies show a steady climb of Alzheimer’s cases with an increase of 60% in just over a decade. With these stark numbers and the reality of what’s to come, doctors and scientists are pushing harder than ever to find a cure.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s is a nation-wide event hosted by Alzheimer’s Association to raise both money and awareness while honoring loved ones who were diagnosed with this disease. Funds collected will be directed toward research as well as to provide support for patients and their caregivers. Rimini Street is proud to have participated in the Fort Worth Walk to End Alzheimer’s and to have donated funds to support their ongoing mission to alleviate and eradicate Alzheimer’s.
