Rimini Street, Inc. Announces New Global Support Center and Executive Team Appointment

10/17/2005

BOSTON - October 17, 2005 - Rimini Street, Inc., a third-party alternative maintenance and support provider for Siebel software licensees (NASDAQ: SEBL), today announced at Siebel CustomerWorld the opening of its Global Support Center in Foster City, Calif., and the appointment of a new chief technology officer to the management team. Fifteen-year industry veteran Thomas Shay, previously with Sun Microsystems, will oversee the development of Rimini Street's innovative remote support tools and technology infrastructure. Both announcements were made in line with the company's previously announced launch plans and timetable.

"The opening of our new Global Support Center and the appointment of a chief technology officer are key steps as we continue on schedule to begin serving Siebel licensees in the first quarter of 2006," said Seth Ravin, Rimini Street president and CEO. "Tom's experience and success delivering advanced system technology solutions will help Rimini Street respond to client support needs in less than 30 minutes, 24x7. We are glad to welcome Tom to the Rimini Street team."

Ravin added, "Rimini Street is the only third-party maintenance and support service focused exclusively on the needs of Siebel licensees. We are continuing to work with Siebel licensees to design and offer an alternative annual support program that meets the needs of licensees who wish to remain supported on their current Siebel 6.x and 7.x releases without having to upgrade, provides highly responsive service and offers significant savings of 50 percent or more in annual maintenance fees."

Shay brings to Rimini Street more than 15 years of experience in the technology industry. Most recently, Shay oversaw all OEM sales engineering for Sun Microsystems in Asia Pacific. Shay's responsibilities included all technical sales, support and major licensing of Sun Microsystems technology to Asia Pacific customers, and directing Sun's OEM sales engineer teams in Japan, China, Korea, and Singapore. Shay also was a member of the Sun Microsystems CPU engineering team, responsible for the design and sustained engineering of high performance SPARC microprocessors. Shay received a B.S. in electrical engineering from The University of California at Los Angeles, and an M.S. in electrical engineering from Cornell University.

"Rimini Street is focused on exceeding the highest service expectations of its clients. Achieving this goal requires investment, development and use of the most advanced and innovative support systems, tools and technologies. I came to Rimini Street to help fulfill these expectations, and I look forward to adding my experience and passion for customer service to Rimini Street and our exciting new client-centric support alternative for Siebel licensees," said Shay.

Located close to Siebel Systems' headquarters at San Mateo, Rimini Street's new Global Support Center in Foster City, Calif. will house the company's technology infrastructure and support engineers.
