A new DBTA/Unisphere Research study reveals:

  • 63% cite high support costs as a major issue
  • 87% say slow resolution of issues is problematic or worse
  • 77% have deployed new applications or datasets on databases other than Oracle in the past 36 months

Organizations are diversifying their database environments, driven by cost, support frustrations, and the need for innovation. Nearly 9 in 10 are dissatisfied with Oracle support times, and 69% say licensing is too complex.
