“We moved to Rimini Street because the risks were low and we knew the financial savings would be a huge benefit. It’s a proven support option. After we experienced far better support than what we had before, our decision was validated.”

BEIS decided to halt a pending upgrade from Oracle E-Business Suite 11i to 12 and refocus its resources on improving the underlying Oracle 11i system while also rolling it out globally to more than a dozen countries. Once it had made the strategic decision to halt the R12 upgrade, it needed to identify an organization to support its company-wide EBS 11i, including payroll.

Rimini Street Solution

Following a careful vetting process, BEIS switched to Rimini Street for support for EBS (including Payroll) and Oracle Database. BEIS based its decision to go with Rimini Street on several key factors. First, BEIS wanted support for modified code, and Rimini Street supports customizations at no extra charge. Second, the global EBS rollout effort requires ongoing global tax, legal and regulatory updates and localizations, which Rimini Street provides. Third, the BEIS team wanted a proactive support partner who would constantly look ahead for upcoming changes rather than simply reacting to immediate issues. Finally, BEIS wanted personalized support attention through a Primary Support Engineer (PSE); Rimini Street assigns to each of its clients a named, regionally based PSE backed by a team of functional and technical experts.

Client Results

  • Gained control of enterprise software roadmap: No forced upgrades are required to retain support for EBS, EBS Payroll and Oracle Database. BEIS has flexibility to upgrade if and when it makes business sense.
  • Investing in business intelligence and electronic invoicing: Money saved on annual maintenance fees and upgrade avoidance is being redirected to projects that drive business growth.
  • Able to pursue EBS customization strategy: Client customizations are supported at no extra charge
