Shruti Basavaraj Ahluwalia
The Institute of Internal Auditors
Shruti B. Ahluwalia has spent 20+ years building technology for people with high expectations: Disney guests, Citi and American Express cardmembers, and clinicians caring for patients. Her conviction is simple. The tech is almost never the hard part. The hard part is getting it to matter to an actual human.
Today, she is VP of Technology, AI and Product Experience at The Institute of Internal Auditors, where she leads the rebuild of how the organization serves its 260,000+ members worldwide, with AI at the center. Before the IIA, she led AI platform and transformation work across a $300M+ portfolio at The Walt Disney Company and held executive digital and technology roles at Citi and American Express. She also co-founded InCare, a healthcare company she built and exited.
Her keynote thesis, Live Deliciously: The Science of Savoring in the Age of AI, asks the question most AI conversations skip: if AI gives us back time, what will we do with it? She also speaks on AI transformation and on leading teams through it without losing the human experience.
Shruti holds an MBA from NYU Stern, a B.Sc. from UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce, and a certificate in Designing and Building AI Products and Services from MIT. She lives in Orlando with her three children and is passionate about helping women build careers in tech and product leadership.
